Terms of Service

Introduction

Clifford is a Discord bot created to offer a modern blend of AI-driven features, interactive entertainment, and smart automation. By using Clifford, you agree to comply fully with these Terms of Service. These terms are intended to protect users, servers, and the integrity of the platform. Continued use of Clifford implies your understanding and acceptance of all rules laid out in this document.

Nature of the Bot

Clifford is powered by AI technologies and enhanced with various entertainment modes including interactive chat, image generation, games, voice responses, and unique modes such as Freaky Mode, uFreaky Mode, and others. These features are designed for fun, expression, and creativity — but must be used responsibly, within community boundaries.

NSFW Content Handling

All NSFW image generation, search, or AI features are strictly restricted to channels marked as NSFW in Discord. Attempting to use NSFW commands outside such environments is a violation of these terms. Clifford will block access to explicit features in non-NSFW channels and servers, and continued misuse may result in command deactivation or a global restriction for the user or server involved.

Image AI and Content Disclaimer

Clifford’s Image AI features use third-party models to generate or retrieve visual content based on user prompts. While safety filters and moderation systems are in place to prevent the generation or delivery of NSFW or inappropriate imagery in non-NSFW channels, such systems may not be perfect. Users acknowledge that AI-generated outputs can occasionally produce unintended or sensitive results. Clifford and its developer do not endorse, curate, or take responsibility for AI outputs generated through external APIs.

By using Image AI commands, you agree to do so responsibly and only within Discord channels properly marked as NSFW when such content is expected. Any misuse — including attempts to generate explicit, harmful, or illegal material in non-NSFW channels — is strictly prohibited and may result in removal of access or blacklisting. Clifford complies with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and any violation may be reported to Discord Trust & Safety if required.

The developer takes no liability for any content generated by third-party AI systems or for user-provided prompts. All responsibility for generated content lies with the user who initiated the command.

Message Storage and Privacy

Clifford does not store user messages, prompts, content, or personal data. All interactions happen in real-time, processed only in-memory and then discarded. The developer has no access to logs or conversation history. Your privacy is fully respected, and no analytics or trackers are embedded within Clifford's operation.

External APIs

Certain features in Clifford — such as AI chat, image generation, and content lookup — make use of trusted third-party APIs. These services process only the input relevant to their task and may operate under their own terms of service or privacy policies. Clifford acts only as a bridge to those APIs and does not control or persist any of the data passed to them.

Platform Compliance

Clifford is developed in strict accordance with Discord’s Developer Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. It does not perform any actions that go beyond the permissions explicitly granted by Discord’s API and bot system. The bot is continuously updated to stay within Discord’s evolving rules and policies. If a feature is found to be non-compliant or flagged by Discord, it may be modified or disabled without notice to preserve platform integrity.

Liability and Abuse

The developer of Clifford is not responsible for how users choose to interact with or deploy the bot. Users are expected to ensure that Clifford is used in appropriate settings, with respect for Discord's rules and other community members. Misuse of Clifford — including attempts to break Discord’s rules, provoke inappropriate AI outputs, or bypass restrictions — will result in blacklisting and potential reporting to Discord Trust & Safety.

Changes to These Terms

The Terms of Service for Clifford may be updated periodically to reflect new features, platform changes, or adjustments in policy. Updates may occur without prior notice. By continuing to use Clifford, you agree to the most recent version of these terms. If you have questions or feedback regarding these terms, you’re encouraged to reach out directly to the developer via the official Discord support server or social links provided.
